Joining Butterfly Network’s Cloud Platform team in December 2021, I used my experience using AWS, Terraform and containerization to help support Kubernetes clusters. After learning more about the infrastructure and deployment process, I was able to assume SRE responsibilities. I took on the company’s need for a new alerting and monitoring pipeline, and designed a solution that combined AWS, NewRelic, Opsgenie and Statuspage. I also assisted and ran numerous production deployments, and I assisted several product teams in migrating their applications to the new Kubernetes infrastructure.

I was hired at SmileDirectClub in April 2019 as a Junior Software Engineer. By the time I left the company in December 2021, I had received a promotion and contributed to several applications and microservices. My job consisted of working in the full software stack which included C#, .Net Core, Vue.Js, Python, GraphQL, Docker and Terraform. We were responsible for provisioning our own infrastructure for our microservices, so I gained plenty of experience working in AWS with Terraform, working with ECS, ECR, Lambdas, S3, DynamoDB, CodeBuild and CodePipeline.

After graduating from Tennessee State University in May 2016, I immediately began working at Accenture as a Software Engineer Associate. I spent some time working on C# applications before becoming a QA tester. I worked with a QA team writing test cases and performing automated UI tests using Microsoft Test Manager.
